5,494 violations related to waste were identified in Tashkent

Thousands of violations related to the illegal burning and improper disposal of waste were identified in Tashkent city throughout 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was provided by the Capital's Department of Ecology and Climate Change. According to official data, 2,744 cases of waste being dumped in unauthorized locations were recorded during the past year.
Protocols were drawn up based on the relevant articles of the Administrative Liability Code for these violations. Additionally, 2,750 cases of air pollution caused by waste burning were identified.
Appropriate legal measures have also been taken against these offenses. Representatives of the department emphasized that all cases were monitored under ecological control and legal actions were applied.
Such measures are aimed at protecting the environment and increasing the ecological awareness of citizens. It is worth noting that earlier, restrictions on electricity usage were imposed on more than 200,000 subscribers in Uzbekistan who were in debt for waste services.
