“O‘zbekiston–2030” strategy: solving problems on the spot

The Uzbekistan–2030 strategy project is an important document that defines the country's future development directions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In this strategy, strengthening communication with the people, solving citizens' problems on site, and promptly addressing issues are identified as top priorities. In particular, it is planned to resolve at least 80 percent of appeals at the local level, which ensures that citizens' problems are addressed within their own regions without reaching higher authorities.
Developing civil society is also one of the main directions of the strategy. To this end, it is planned to increase the number of non-governmental non-profit organizations by at least 80.
This will contribute to the growth of public initiatives and social projects, as well as the further development of mechanisms that assist the population. Reforms in the judicial and legal system will also continue.
The supremacy of the Constitution and laws, as well as the protection of human rights and freedoms, are established as fundamental principles. At the same time, it is envisaged to reduce the practice of applying imprisonment sentences from 30 percent to 20 percent.
This is an important step aimed at strengthening the principles of justice and proportionality. Digitizing court and investigation processes is also noted as a significant task.
It is planned to increase the possibility of performing certain procedural actions remotely by 50 percent. This will reduce paperwork and ensure speed and transparency in case management.
Clear goals have also been set in the fight against crime. In particular, it is planned to reduce the share of cybercrimes in the total number of crimes to 43 percent.
Additionally, measures to prevent crimes committed by youth and women will be strengthened. In conclusion, the Uzbekistan–2030 strategy is aimed at solving problems on site, reforming the judicial and legal system, and taking effective measures against modern threats.
Importantly, these figures should not remain only on paper but must also show results in practice. Source: Zamin.uz.
