The Central Bank of Uzbekistan registered 37 microfinance organizations during 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Additionally, licenses were issued to four payment organizations to operate. This was reported by Kursiv.uz.

According to last year's results, the Central Bank also registered one microfinance bank and one credit bureau. Furthermore, 12 auditors received permits to operate in the country.

In 2025, the number of permits issued for acquiring shares in the charter capital of credit organizations amounted to 32. The majority of these belonged to microfinance organizations, with 19 permits granted specifically to them.

Moreover, eight permits were related to banks, and four to pawnshops. The report also noted that the banking license of "Eurasian Bank" was revoked and the liquidation process has begun.

The Central Bank also provided information about reforms aimed at increasing competition in the financial system. These measures served to strengthen financial stability and expand financial service opportunities for the population and entrepreneurs.

Within the framework of developing microfinancing in the country, microfinance banks were granted permission to operate. Additionally, in 2025, a law regulating the processes of bank rehabilitation and liquidation was adopted, and the procedure for their closure was approved.
