A large tourism zone will be established in Fergana

Plans are underway to establish a large tourism zone in Fergana region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the presidential decree, the “Fergana” tourist-recreational zone will be created, covering a total area of 2,396 hectares. This project will operate for 30 years, with the possibility of extending this period later.
The project aims to develop tourism not only as a form of travel but also as a sector that benefits the economy. Infrastructure will be developed in the area, entrepreneurs will be attracted, and new jobs will be created.
In particular, the development of the “Malina agrotourism cluster” is planned in the Vodil area of Fergana district. Light service outlets will be established around raspberry gardens here.
As a result, tourists visiting Vodil will not only enjoy nature but also have access to quality services. Additionally, tourism development work will be carried out in 2026–2027 around the Central Fergana reservoir located in Yozyovon district.
Recreational facilities, travel services, and other tourism-related infrastructure are planned to be established in this area. This is expected to create new jobs for the local population and promote domestic tourism.
Furthermore, in the “Sanoat” and “Hosilot” neighborhood citizens' assemblies of Fergana district, it is planned to expand raspberry plantations based on foreign experience, build refrigerators for product storage, and establish deep processing workshops. This will not only develop agrotourism but also enhance the export potential of agricultural products.
Overall, this tourism project is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of not only tourism but also the economy in Fergana region. Source: zamin.uz
