The Armed Forces of Uzbekistan are being modernized with digital technologies
An expanded meeting of the Security Council dedicated to fundamentally enhancing the country's defense capabilities was held under the chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

At the meeting, the head of state emphasized the necessity of modernizing the armed forces based on digital technologies and artificial intelligence to effectively combat contemporary threats. The meeting discussed current regional and global security issues, the weakening of international law, and the evolving nature of war strategies.

The President stated that victory in modern wars depends not only on the number of soldiers or the abundance of military equipment but is ensured through artificial intelligence, remotely controlled systems, and cyber technologies. For this purpose, the development of a new security concept and defense doctrine was outlined.

These documents will maintain Uzbekistan's status of non-alignment with military blocs. During the meeting, several initiatives were proposed to transform the army system into a development platform for youth.

In particular, soldiers will acquire professions and receive certificates through short-term courses. Every year, 5,000 soldiers will be educated in IT and artificial intelligence.

Opportunities will be provided for admission to universities during service, obtaining interest-free educational loans, and receiving privileges when entering public service. Additionally, a mechanism will be introduced whereby the state partially covers entrepreneurial loans for former soldiers.

The President also paid special attention to the social support of military personnel. Starting from April 1, salaries and pensions for military personnel and their family members will be increased, and housing construction will be expanded.

Moreover, the pension calculation system will be improved based on years of service. To promote the moral development of military personnel, one million copies of fiction books will be delivered to military units, and reading competitions will be organized.

In the field of sports, tournaments on drone and robot technologies will be held. At the conclusion of the meeting, the President congratulated all defenders of the homeland on the 34th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces, noting that their dedication and courage are a source of pride for the nation.

He particularly emphasized the importance of the Uzbekistan army in maintaining peace and stability. Source: Zamin.uz
