Uzbekistan Aviation: New Routes and Record Achievements

Uzbekistan achieved significant developments in international and domestic aviation in 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Ministry of Transport, 33 new air routes were launched in the country over the past year. By the end of the year, the number of passengers transported by air reached 15.6 million.
Currently, 17 domestic and 51 foreign airlines operate in Uzbekistan. The number of aircraft owned by domestic airlines totals 109.
Additionally, contracts have been signed to purchase 22 modern Boeing-787 aircraft. In 2025, a number of infrastructure projects were implemented in the country.
Specifically, Andijan airport was completely renovated, and Sariosiyo aerodrome was modernized. The "Tashkent – Humo" complex began operations in Tashkent city, and construction of a new international airport has started in the regions.
According to future plans, by 2026, the number of flights in the country is aimed to increase to 140,000 and to serve 17 million passengers. This will further expand Uzbekistan's aviation capabilities and strengthen international relations.
