A cold snap is expected at the end of January

“O‘zgidromet” service has announced weather information for January 18–25. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the forecast, at the beginning of the new week, precipitation is expected in some parts of the country, mainly snowfall. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, the weather will mostly be without precipitation, but on January 21, there is a possibility of snowfall and fog in some areas.
Night temperatures may drop to −5…−13 degrees, while daytime temperatures may warm up to between −6 and +3 degrees. In Bukhara and Navoi regions, the weather will be variable, with a chance of snowfall in some places on January 21 and 25.
At night, temperatures may fall to −8 degrees, and during the day it is expected to be mild around 0…+5 degrees. In Tashkent, Sirdaryo, Jizzakh, and Samarkand regions, rain or snow may occur in some places on January 21.
On other days, the weather will mostly be dry and cool. At the same time, the possibility of fog will remain.
In Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, short-term precipitation may occur on January 21–22. In the following days, stable and relatively warm weather is expected.
In Andijan, Namangan, and the Fergana Valley, light snowfall may occur in some places on January 18. In recent days, precipitation will decrease and the weather will cool down.
In foothill and mountainous areas, occasional snowfall is expected. On January 18–19, there is a risk of avalanches in some areas.
According to experts, in the second half of January, the air temperature will gradually decrease. At the end of the month, severe cold is expected in the northern regions of the republic.
