Uzbekistan among the cheapest countries in terms of living expenses

According to the results of a global ranking conducted by Numbeo, Uzbekistan has been listed among the countries with the lowest living expenses. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The list also includes other Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The ranking covers a total of 155 countries, with New York City taken as the baseline with an index score of "100" for comparison.
The lower the index, the cheaper it is to live in that country. Factors considered in compiling the ranking included rent, utility payments, food prices, restaurant services, and the purchasing power of the population.
Among the Central Asian countries, the indicators are as follows: Kazakhstan ranked 128th with an index of 29.8. Tajikistan is 136th with an index of 27.9, Uzbekistan 138th with an index of 27.3, and Kyrgyzstan 140th with an index of 27.3.
The highest purchasing power in the region was recorded in Kazakhstan, while the lowest was in Tajikistan. However, low living expenses do not always mean a high standard of living in the country.
The differences between purchasing power and price levels are related to the real incomes of the population. Source: one.uz
