According to official data, on January 17, 2026, at 18:11, an earthquake was recorded in the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan. The epicenter of this earthquake was located approximately 215 kilometers southeast of Tashkent.
The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.3 and occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers below the surface. The earthquake's strength was also felt in the territory of Uzbekistan.
Specifically, the tremor intensity was recorded as 2 points in the Sokh district and 2 points in the Rishton district. These areas are located approximately 22 and 28 kilometers from the epicenter, respectively.
It is stated that the earthquakes are occurring as a result of natural processes in the region. Experts urge the public to remain calm and to follow safety measures if necessary.
