Fight against tuberculosis: modern technologies are yielding results

Reforms aimed at developing a healthy lifestyle and combating dangerous diseases in our country are bearing fruit. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Ministry of Health, cases of tuberculosis among the population decreased by 3.7 percent over the past year. The introduction of modern technologies and the implementation of digital solutions in practice have made a significant contribution to this.
The "BD MAX" technology plays an important role in the fight against tuberculosis. The advantage of this modern equipment is that test results, which previously took days to obtain, are now ready within just 2–3 hours.
Since the human factor is minimized, the likelihood of errors decreases and biosafety is ensured at a high level. In recent years, 50 ultraportable X-ray devices operating on artificial intelligence have been delivered to medical institutions.
This year, another 40 mobile X-ray devices will be provided to regions with a high incidence of respiratory diseases. All results obtained through these devices are stored in the "DHIS-2" electronic system.
This helps specialists monitor the spread of the disease and make forecasts for the future. Additionally, opportunities for providing medical services to residents of remote areas are being expanded.
Within the framework of special inspections organized by the Ministry, it is planned to screen 1 million citizens for latent tuberculosis infection. Furthermore, free medical examinations will be conducted for 200,000 residents of remote villages.
Through telemedicine capabilities, the quality of specialized medical services at the community level is being improved. The development of modern medicine is creating convenience for all of us.
