11.7 million tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2025

2025 was an important year for tourism in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In this year, 11.7 million foreign citizens visited the country. According to the data from the National Statistics Committee, this result reached a record level, indicating the growing international interest in Uzbekistan.
Compared to 2024, the flow of tourists increased by 3.7 million people, representing a 46.8% growth. These results are evaluated as the outcome of systematic efforts in recent years.
Experts explain this growth in the tourism sector by several factors. Among them are improvements in tourism infrastructure, simplification of visa procedures, an increase in the number of international flights, and active promotion of Uzbekistan's tourism opportunities abroad, all of which had a significant impact on this process.
This is not just advertising, but a result of improved service quality and conveniences. In 2025, neighboring countries occupied the highest positions in terms of the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan.
3.3 million tourists came from Kyrgyzstan, and 2.7 million each from Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. Additionally, many guests visited from countries such as Russia, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, China, Turkey, India, and the Republic of Korea.
This indicates that Uzbekistan's position on the international tourism map is strengthening. In conclusion, the results of 2025 are not just simple numbers, but the fruits of reforms carried out in the country.
The main goal now is not to merely repeat these figures, but to improve quality in the tourism sector and promote Uzbekistan as a country not only to be seen once but to be visited repeatedly. Source: Zamin.uz.
