Uzbekistan will become a founding member of the Peace Council

An official invitation letter to join the international initiative was sent from US President Donald Trump to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This initiative is aimed at strengthening peace and resolving conflicts in the Middle East. According to local sources, Uzbekistan has received an invitation to join the new organization — the “Peace Council” — as a founding state.
The letter emphasizes that this initiative is based on a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict, announced on September 29, 2025. This plan was approved by the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2803 dated November 17, 2025.
According to the plan, the “Peace Council” aims to unite states ready to share responsibility for ensuring long-term peace, stability, and security. Reuters agency reports that under Trump’s initiative, invitations were sent to various heads of state.
This structure initially focuses on the Gaza region, with plans for later expansion. Official reports state that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a response letter to Trump, expressing Uzbekistan’s readiness to join the “Peace Council” as a founding state.
He also assessed this initiative as an important step towards easing long-standing regional conflicts and ensuring stability.
