In Uzbekistan, it will be extremely cold on January 22–23

On January 22–23, a sharp change in weather is expected across Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service, precipitation will mainly be in the form of snow. Icy patches may form on the roads, so drivers and pedestrians are advised to be cautious and not to rush.
In foothill and mountainous areas, the situation is even more complicated: heavy snowfall is possible. Special attention should be paid to safety measures on mountain roads, maintaining distance, and reducing speed.
It is advisable to delay traveling at night as much as possible. Strong winds are also expected.
In some areas, wind speeds may reach 15–20 m/s, and in some places up to 22–25 m/s. This can lead to avalanches, broken trees, and other hazards.
Therefore, it is recommended not to leave light objects in yards or open spaces and to prepare necessary equipment in vehicles in advance. Temperatures will also drop significantly.
On the nights of January 22–24, the air temperature may be between -3 and -8 degrees Celsius, while during the day it can range from -3 degrees cold to +2 degrees warm. In northern regions, the cold will be stronger: nights are forecasted to be -12 to -15 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperatures between -2 and -5 degrees Celsius.
In Tashkent city, daytime temperatures are expected to be between +1 and +5 degrees Celsius, and nighttime temperatures between -5 and +2 degrees Celsius. To ensure safety on the road, some advice includes increasing braking distance considering possible icy patches and avoiding sharp turns.
When traveling on mountain roads, it is necessary to check essential equipment such as chains, lights, and antifreeze. On windy days, it is dangerous to stay near trees and power lines for a long time.
Snowy days may cause difficulties, but they are also a symbol of cleanliness and renewal. The most important thing is not to forget caution and to adapt to weather conditions.
