The procedure for obtaining online credit has been tightened

On January 21, a regulation establishing minimum requirements aimed at ensuring information security and cybersecurity, as well as preventing fraud in providing remote financial services to individuals by credit and payment organizations and payment system operators, was registered with the state. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This document envisages further tightening of the procedure for granting online credit. According to the regulation, when an application for online credit is submitted, the credit organization first verifies the applicant's information.
During this process, it is determined whether the applicant is included in the register of persons prohibited from concluding credit agreements. If the applicant's information is not recorded in the register, the credit processing procedure continues according to the established rules.
Additionally, according to the new requirement, if multiple credit organizations send requests simultaneously for one individual’s Personal Identification Number (PIN), the credit bureau will respond only to the first received request. If the organization that sent the first request confirms that credit has been issued under this PIN, the credit bureau informs other organizations that it will not accept requests for this PIN for 24 hours.
