Shavkat Mirziyoyev signs the Peace Council Charter in Davos

On January 21, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, departed on an official visit to Davos, Switzerland. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
There, he will participate in the signing ceremony of the Peace Council Charter, held at the invitation of US President Donald Trump. As previously announced, Uzbekistan has accepted the invitation to join this organization as a founding member state.
The main goal of the Peace Council initiative is to ensure long-term peace, stability, and security by uniting the international community on a single platform. This new international structure is expected to be particularly important for resolving conflicts in Gaza and the Middle East region.
According to sources, the signing ceremony of the Peace Council Charter will take place in Davos. Several countries have already expressed their willingness to join this initiative.
In a letter to US President Donald Trump, Shavkat Mirziyoyev described this initiative as an important step towards resolving the long-standing conflicts in the Middle East and ensuring regional stability. If the new structure operates effectively in practice, it could further enhance Uzbekistan’s international prestige and diplomatic activities.
Otherwise, there is a possibility that it will remain merely a political promotion. In any case, the meetings in Davos are certain to influence the development of international relations in the coming months.
