Registration canceled: Safoyev criticized the injustice

The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sodiq Safoyev, sharply criticized the previously existing Tashkent propiska system. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He described this system as contrary to human rights and inconsistent with the principles of justice. According to Safoyev, despite being citizens of Uzbekistan, people were unable to freely exercise their right to live in the capital.
Due to the absence of the propiska system, people faced many difficulties in finding employment, registering, and organizing their daily lives. This situation intensified inequality and social injustice in society.
He emphasized that as a result of the policy pursued by the head of state, this system was abolished. This decision was an important step towards ensuring citizens' rights to free movement, choice of residence, and labor.
According to Safoyev, the termination of the propiska system marked the beginning of a new stage in Uzbekistan based on openness and the principles of justice. Now citizens have the legal and free opportunity to live in any region of the country, including the city of Tashkent.
