366 thousand families escaped poverty, unemployment decreased

As a result of measures aimed at ensuring employment and increasing incomes over the past year, the poverty rate in the country has significantly decreased. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In particular, 366 thousand families escaped poverty. As a result, the poverty rate fell from 8.9 percent to 5.8 percent.
At the same time, the unemployment rate also decreased from 5.5 percent to 4.8 percent. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the ongoing reforms.
As the head of state emphasized, such achievements indicate the strengthening trust between the government and the people. At the same time, there are still many tasks ahead that need to be accomplished.
For this reason, 2026 was declared the “Year of Neighborhood Development and Social Upliftment.” Throughout this year, large-scale plans aimed at improving infrastructure in neighborhoods are planned to be implemented.
The neighborhood is actually an important link that shows the effectiveness of reforms. If unemployment or poverty problems persist in the neighborhood, it means that these reforms have not reached there.
Also, if the “seven” system or banks cannot solve the problems of the population, it indicates that this system is not functioning properly. The head of state noted that no minister, governor, or banker has the right to use the “seven” system as an excuse.
According to him, all necessary opportunities, funds, and programs are available. What is lacking is responsibility and personal accountability.
