Since January 20, the State Security Service of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been conducting large-scale rapid search and preventive measures. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

These measures are aimed at preventing crime, combating drug trafficking, and stabilizing the criminogenic situation in the country. This was reported by uzdaily.uz.

In the city of Guliston, Sirdaryo region, a “Gentra” car driven by a previously convicted individual born in 2002 was inspected, and drug-related information was found on his phone. As a result of the investigation, it became known that this person had been involved in distributing narcotics on several Telegram channels since December 2025, and had also established a hidden drug laboratory in Guliston.

From his home, 2.787 kilograms of “Pregabalin,” 1,900 “Pregabalin” capsules, 150 units and 1 liter of liquid “Tropicamid,” as well as special equipment were found. The total value of the confiscated products was estimated at 1.8 billion soums.

A criminal case was initiated under Article 251-1 of the Criminal Code, and the investigation is ongoing. In Tashkent region, three citizens born in 1983, 1988, and 1998 were detained on suspicion of illegal sale of the potent “Regapen” tablets.

They stored 144 “Regapen” and 89 “Zardeks” tablets in a “Spark” car. During the investigation, 7,784 “Regapen” and 200 “Zardeks” tablets were found in a rented house in Yunusabad district.

Additionally, a person born in 1994 from the city of Kokand was caught attempting to bring 5,000 “Zardeks” tablets from Kyrgyzstan to Tashkent. In total, 13,217 potent drugs were confiscated during the operations.

In the Mirobod district of Tashkent city, a group suspected of robbery was detained. A person born in 1995 and his accomplices tried to beat two citizens and seize 500 US dollars.

Also, a person born in 2003 engaged in phone sales at the “Malika” shopping complex was detained. Due to a disagreement over payment, he inflicted bodily harm on a buyer.

Criminal cases have been initiated regarding these incidents, and the suspects have been taken into custody as a preventive measure.
