Educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey is developing

On January 21, in Ankara, Munira Aminova, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Abdulhadi Turus, Head of the Directorate for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) of Turkey. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to uzdaily.uz, during the meeting, issues of educational and cultural cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
The parties analyzed the current state of cooperation and exchanged views on future plans. In particular, the results of YTB scholarship programs were reviewed.
According to the information, in 2025, 228 citizens of Uzbekistan were admitted under this program, and currently, 136 students are continuing their education. Overall, more than 3,200 participants have successfully completed their studies through YTB.
It was noted that a special portal has been launched to strengthen relations with them. Additionally, during the meeting, the "Kultural Turk" encyclopedia, training programs in jewelry making, emergency medical aid, and other ongoing projects were discussed.
Furthermore, new initiatives aimed at developing information technology, cybersecurity, training for young diplomats, and the pharmaceutical industry were discussed. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation in education and professional development.
The importance of joint efforts to train highly qualified personnel and expand professional exchanges was especially emphasized.
