A toll road will be built between Urgench and Khiva

In Khorezm region, a new toll road is planned to be constructed between the cities of Urgench and Khiva to improve transport infrastructure. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was provided by the press service of the Khiva city administration. The project envisions the construction of a new road with a total length of 32 kilometers.
This route will serve as an alternative to existing roads, easing traffic flow, reducing travel time, and increasing road safety. After the road is put into operation, it will be used on a toll basis.
Once the new road is launched, the quality of transportation between Urgench and Khiva will significantly improve. The efficiency of cargo and passenger transportation will increase, and the region's tourism and investment attractiveness will grow.
The route starts from Urgench city and connects to Khiva city via a bypass road. This toll road will reduce congestion on existing roads and help divert transit traffic away from densely populated areas.
According to experts, toll-based construction ensures regular maintenance and quality service. This new road leading to Khiva, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, will also provide convenience for tourists.
As a result of reduced travel time, an increase in tourism flow, regional economic development, and additional income are expected. Source: zamin.uz.
