The President familiarized himself with the activities of the "Tomorqa School"

During his visit to Surxondaryo region, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, familiarized himself with the activities of the “Tomorqa School” in the Termiz district. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This school specializes in teaching the population how to effectively use their home gardens, introduce high-yield crops, and apply modern methods for processing and storing products. The President reviewed the ongoing work on the experience of harvesting three times a year from the garden and the implementation of water-saving technologies.
The “Tomorqa School” is recognized not just as a simple educational center but as an innovative project aimed at providing the population with a stable source of income. The main goal of the school is to teach unemployed and low-income citizens home gardening and demonstrate technologies that bring high income in practice.
For this purpose, activities are carried out in the districts of Termiz, Muzrabot, Qiziriq, Bandixon, Angor, and Jarqo‘rg‘on. The school includes a three-hectare greenhouse and a three-hectare training and experimental area.
Here, crops such as banana, papaya, lavender, lemon, and broccoli are grown. A drip irrigation system has been introduced, which allows for efficient use of water.
So far, nearly 1,300 citizens have completed special courses under the project. Students are taught the methodology of earning an average income of 10–15 million soums per sotik of land.
The “Agrostar” companies provide students with seeds and seedlings and have established a system for purchasing the cultivated products. This system operates not only as theoretical knowledge but also as a practice-based economic model.
During the visit, the President familiarized himself with industrialized orchards, water-saving technologies, and fruit and vegetable processing projects. He also communicated with entrepreneurs about expanding export opportunities, mastering new crop types, and creating added value.
This project is recognized as a practical model aimed at increasing the population's income, reducing unemployment, and forming a new culture in agriculture. Information is provided on the President’s official website (source: zamin.uz).
