Flood Warning Declared in Mountainous Areas of Uzbekistan

"O‘zgidromet" announced that due to rains from March 2 to March 6, flash floods may occur in the foothill and mountainous regions of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Specifically, there is a risk of flash floods in the Yakkabog‘, Dehqonobod, Chiroqchi, Kitob, Shahrisabz, Qamashi, and G‘uzor districts of Qashqadaryo region; Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherobod, Sho‘rchi, Qumqo‘rg‘on, and Muzrobot districts of Surxondaryo region; Urgut, Samarqand, Bulung‘ur, Nurobod, Qo‘shrabot, Kattaqo‘rg‘on, Payariq, Jomboy, and Ishtixon districts of Samarqand region; Xatirchi, Navbahor, Nurota, Konimex, and Karmana districts of Navoiy region; Zomin, Baxmal, G‘allaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish, and Yangiobod districts of Jizzax region; Ohangaron, Bo‘stonliq, Parkent, Piskent, O‘rtachirchiq, and Yuqorichirchiq districts as well as the cities of Angren and Olmaliq in Toshkent region; Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, and Yangiqo‘rg‘on districts of Namangan region; So‘x, Shohimardon, Farg‘ona, and Beshariq districts of Farg‘ona region; Andijon, Asaka, Jalaquduq, Qo‘rg‘ontepa, Paxtaobod, Izboskan, Xo‘jaobod, and Marhamat districts and the city of Xonabod in Andijon region. It is emphasized that residents, vacationers, and drivers traveling in the foothill and mountainous areas should take precautionary measures.
