In Uzbekistan, dry and very hot weather will prevail until the end of the week. This was reported by the country's Hydrometeorological Service ("O‘zgidromet").
According to meteorologists, from May 12 to 16, mostly few clouds and sunny weather will be observed across the republic. Only in some mountainous areas, there is a possibility of short-term rain and thunderstorms on May 12 and 13.
The air temperature at the beginning of the week also resembles summer: on Monday, the temperature will be around +32…+35 degrees in most parts of the country. In the northern provinces, southern regions, and desert areas, the temperature may rise even higher – up to +37…+39 degrees.
Starting from Tuesday, a very hot air flow will intensify entering the country, and the air temperature will continue to rise throughout the week. By the end of the work week, daytime temperatures across the republic are forecasted to reach +37…+40 degrees, and in some areas even +41…+42 degrees.
During this period, in the northern and desert regions, the wind speed may reach 15–18 meters per second, which could be accompanied by dust storms in some places.
In the capital city of Tashkent, according to the Hydrometeorological Service, no precipitation is expected. The weather will be mostly clear and sunny, with winds blowing from the east at a speed of 3–8 meters per second.
The temperature in Tashkent will rise day by day: on May 12, it will be +33…+35 degrees during the day, on May 13–14 it will be +35…+38 degrees, and on May 15–16 it may even reach +38…+41 degrees. Night temperatures will not be low either: starting from +19…+21 degrees, it is expected to rise to +23…+25 degrees by the end of the week.
Experts recommend that the population avoid being directly under the sun during the hottest part of the day, drink more water, and stay in cool places.
