Methane gas branch operations in Uzbekistan will be temporarily restricted

With the arrival of cold and humid air in Uzbekistan, the demand for natural gas has significantly increased. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Energy, this situation is causing a drop in pressure in the main gas pipelines. Therefore, the energy system has set the uninterrupted supply of gas to residential households and social sector facilities as a primary task.
Through this decision, it is aimed to maintain stable gas supply for citizens and important institutions. From 7:00 PM on March 4 to 10:00 AM on March 5, temporary restrictions will be imposed on the operation of methane gas filling stations across the country.
This measure is short-term and aimed at stabilizing the pressure in the gas supply. At the same time, gas supply to socially significant facilities such as hospitals, schools, kindergartens, as well as public transport, will continue as usual.
No restrictions will be imposed in these sectors. Experts emphasize that such temporary measures are applied during the winter season to maintain the stability of the energy system and ensure continuous resource supply to the population.
The increase in gas demand under cold weather conditions is a natural phenomenon, and the energy system strives to take prompt actions in such situations. Source of information: One.uz.
