The procedure for lifting property restrictions in Uzbekistan has changed

A new procedure for lifting restrictions on property in Uzbekistan has been introduced. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This update was implemented through Law No. ORQ–1119 adopted on March 4, 2026. This law grants the state executor the authority to lift restrictions on property by their own decision in certain cases.
If the claimant agrees to keep the unsold property, the authorities responsible for registering property rights and other rights will lift the restrictions based on the state executor's decision. This decision serves as the basis for registering the property under a new owner's name.
At the same time, existing obligations, such as debts, remain with the former owner who was the debtor. An exception may occur only if the claimant agrees to assume these obligations.
This law simplifies the enforcement process and accelerates the resolution of unsold property issues. However, it is important to correctly understand the documents, as it is necessary to determine who is responsible for the obligations.
