A cold anticyclone is entering Uzbekistan

Today, on March 7, a cold anticyclone is entering the territory of Uzbekistan, O‘zgidromet reported. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
With the arrival of the cold air flow, the air quality in the atmosphere may deteriorate. Due to the slowdown of air movement and temperature inversion, there is a possibility that pollutants will accumulate in the layer close to the ground.
Currently, meteorological conditions causing temperature inversion are being observed in the region. At night, the air temperature is 5–7 degrees, while during the day it is 16–18 degrees warm, resulting in a sharp temperature difference.
In Tashkent city, a humid and relatively cool air mass prevails. In the early morning hours, fog, high humidity, and almost windless weather are observed, which causes very slow air exchange.
As a result, waste may remain in the city. The usual pollutants in the atmosphere specific to the city mainly accumulate due to motor transport, heating systems, fuel combustion, and industrial emissions.
Under such conditions, the dispersion of pollutants becomes difficult, and the amount of dust and fine dispersed particles in the air may increase. According to experts, this situation is expected to persist for the next three days.
By March 10, the cold anticyclone will fully cover the territory of the country, the air temperature will stabilize, and with the increase in wind speed and precipitation, the dispersion of pollutants in the atmosphere may occur.
