19 Thousand Citizens Returned to Uzbekistan from the Middle East

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as of 07:00 on the morning of March 8, the number of citizens returned from Middle Eastern countries to Uzbekistan reached 19,347. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On March 7, 1,680 citizens were brought home from Saudi Arabia via 9 flights, and 394 citizens were brought from the United Arab Emirates via 2 flights. Additionally, 5 Uzbek citizens were also returned from Iran.
The Uzbek embassies in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, evacuated 208 compatriots who were in Doha. They flew from Ar-Riyadh on a Centrum Air flight and safely arrived in Tashkent at 05:40 on March 8.
Currently, a second group of 126 compatriots has been formed for the next evacuation phase. It is planned to bring them from Doha to Tashkent via Riyadh on a charter flight.
It is reported that the repatriation process is being carried out systematically and step by step. The entire process is being monitored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
