New achievements and tasks in the oil and gas sector were discussed.

A report was presented to the Head of State Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the fulfillment of key tasks in the oil and gas sector and ongoing efforts to further develop the industry. Zamin.uz reported on this.
On January 30 of the current year, specific instructions were given to fundamentally improve the activities of O'zbekneftgaz JSC, expand hydrocarbon reserves, and introduce modern technologies into production processes. While the initial results of implementing these assignments were analyzed on February 23, today's meeting thoroughly examined achieved successes and identified shortcomings.
One of the most important directions in the sector is accelerating geological exploration and bringing new fields into operation. It was noted that during the reporting period, authorities carried out three-dimensional seismic exploration works over an area of 471 square kilometers.
Additionally, eleven new wells were put into operation through drilling, and repair works were completed on twenty existing wells. Furthermore, the implementation of five major technological measures is helping to stabilize production volumes.
Such efforts play a decisive role in ensuring the country's energy security. The meeting focused not only on production volumes but also paid special attention to ensuring the financial stability of enterprises and increasing operational efficiency.
It was emphasized that it is necessary to increase the profitability of the sector by optimizing costs, conserving energy resources, and introducing modern management systems into production processes. The Head of State set additional tasks for industry leaders to conduct work based on precise calculations and adhere to strict discipline.
In conclusion, the oil and gas sector is considered the locomotive of our economy. Therefore, the efficiency of every project and every well must be under state supervision.
The implementation of assignments given by the President serves not only the development of the sector but also ensures uninterrupted supply of energy resources to all sectors of the population and economy. In the future, expanding exploration works and adopting international experience to enrich the hydrocarbon base will remain a priority task.
