Preschool educators obtain a bachelor's degree.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has developed an important draft decision to introduce a new and effective system in the field of preschool education starting from the 2026-2037 academic year. Zamin.uz reported on this matter.
The main goal of this initiative is to enhance the qualifications of educators who have completed secondary specialized education and are currently working in preschool institutions, enabling them to join the ranks of bachelor-level specialists. To achieve this, a dual education model, which has established its place in global practice, is being implemented.
This method allows educators to obtain higher education without completely leaving their jobs. Under the new system, teachers working in both state and non-state preschool institutions will receive higher education on a paid contract basis.
The learning process is organized in a very convenient format, with specialists attending theoretical classes at higher education institutions one day a week. The remaining five days are dedicated to their usual work with children.
To this end, the government has also approved a list of higher education institutions authorized to implement bachelor's degree programs. This guarantees teachers the opportunity to receive reliable and quality education.
The admission process takes place annually from May 5th to June 15th. Participants can choose their preferred field of study, language of instruction, and the region where they will take exams within this period and register accordingly.
This innovation serves to meet the significant need for highly qualified personnel in the preschool education sector of our country. The integration of theoretical knowledge with practice enables educators to immediately apply new pedagogical methods in their work.
At the same time, this system will greatly contribute to teachers' career development and improve the quality of their daily work. Since they continue studying while remaining at their workplaces, the educational process is organized in accordance with real conditions and challenges.
