During the Eid al-Fitr holiday, Tashkent public transport operates from 4 a.m.

On Friday, March 20, 2026, due to the Ramadan holiday, changes were made to the operation schedule of public transport in our capital city, Tashkent. To create convenience for the city’s residents and guests, all buses and metro trains will start operating one hour earlier than usual, providing service from four o'clock in the morning.
This decision was officially announced by the Tashkent city transport service. The main goal is to deliver citizens going to the Eid prayer on time and to facilitate their travel.
According to the information from the Tashkent Metro Directorate, metro trains will also start operating exactly from four o'clock in the morning. The transport service schedule will also change on the holiday days.
On March 20 and 21, transport vehicles will operate according to the Saturday schedule. On the following days, March 22 and 23, trains will run according to the Sunday schedule.
Therefore, all passengers are asked to plan their movements in advance and follow the new timetable. It should be reminded that the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed a special decree on March 18 to celebrate the blessed Ramadan holiday.
According to this document, March 20, 2026, was declared an official holiday in our country as Ramadan Eid and will be widely celebrated. Various cultural, educational, and charitable events aimed at strengthening the spirit of kindness, unity, and tolerance in society are planned during the holiday days.
In cooperation with the Tourism Committee and the Ministry of Transport, trips to shrines and historical monuments are planned for compatriots. Convenient conditions will be created for the population in this regard, and special organizational work will be carried out.
On the eve of the holiday, entertaining and meaningful programs are being prepared for each family member and society representatives. Thus, innovations in the transport system and state-level attention will allow the holiday to be celebrated as a more symbolic and memorable event.
