Askiya market in Tashkent temporarily closed due to fire safety
The activities of the Askiya farmers' market in Tashkent have been temporarily suspended due to non-compliance with fire safety rules. Zamin.uz reported this.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations provided official information on this matter. During inspection measures carried out at major markets and shopping complexes in the capital, a number of serious deficiencies were identified.

As a result of the inspections, it was found that requirements for ensuring fire safety were grossly violated in some facilities. After it was determined that conditions at the Askiya farmers' market located in the Yakkasaroy district did not meet safety requirements at all, the area was disconnected from the electrical grid and trading activities were temporarily suspended.

Similar cases were also recorded in some shopping centers in the Mirzo Ulugbek, Bektemir, Chilanzar, and Uchtepa districts. Electricity supply was also restricted at these facilities, and instructions were given to eliminate the deficiencies.

Officials from the Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized that these measures are not intended to interfere with the work of entrepreneurs or limit their activities. The main goal is to ensure fire safety in crowded places, prevent unexpected unpleasant incidents, and protect the lives of citizens.

Currently, once the identified deficiencies are eliminated, the activities of the markets and shopping complexes will be restored according to the established procedure. Specialists urge entrepreneurs to strictly adhere to fire safety rules and keep safety equipment in constant working order.
