Education quality is being fundamentally improved at Tashkent State Agrarian University

In accordance with the decree adopted by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, important steps are being taken to fundamentally improve the activities of the Tashkent State Agrarian University and increase the quality of education in the agricultural sector. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These reforms aim to train specialists for the agrarian sector who possess modern knowledge, are experienced in practice, and are competitive in the labor market. According to the new educational system, the balance between students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills will be gradually changed.
In the first year, sixty percent of the learning process is allocated to theory and forty percent to practice. By the second year, this ratio equalizes to fifty-fifty.
In the third year, the main focus is shifted to practical training; that is, seventy percent of the educational process will be dedicated directly to practical work in the field. Such an approach allows students to adapt more quickly and effectively to a real production environment.
Furthermore, a four-month continuous dual education system is being introduced for upper-year students. During this period, young people are temporarily released from theoretical classes and undergo internships fully within agricultural enterprises and sectoral organizations.
This process is a great opportunity for them to improve their professional skills and study the work process from the inside. These systemic changes serve to increase the efficiency of agricultural education and eliminate the shortage of qualified personnel in the sector.
The new order ensures that students not only acquire knowledge but also become true masters of their profession. These reforms are expected to serve as an important foundation for developing the agrarian sector and strengthening the country's food security.
