Bond warehouses are a new opportunity for developing e-commerce in Uzbekistan

A new and important era is beginning in the development of Uzbekistan's digital economy. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The regulatory document signed by the head of state has opened wide opportunities not only for entrepreneurs but also for ordinary consumers. Within the framework of these changes, we will discuss in detail the concept of bonded warehouses and their significance for the population.
In accordance with the President's decree dated April 13, 2026, a fundamental reform of the e-commerce sector has begun in our country. Starting from July 1, 2026, a special legal experiment will be conducted for a period of two years.
During this process, bonded warehouse activities will be established in our country for the first time. Bonded warehouses are understood as special areas intended for the temporary storage and subsequent retail sale of products destined for the personal needs of individuals by residents and non-residents.
The main condition of this system is that goods must be sold only through electronic platforms included in the register maintained by the National Agency for Perspective Projects. The warehouses will operate based on the licensing procedure for free warehouse activities.
The greatest achievement of the new system is that excessive bureaucracy in selling goods placed in bonded warehouses to individuals will be curtailed. In particular, goods will be cleared through customs quickly based on a simplified declaration.
Additionally, when purchasing products from these warehouses, certain strict requirements such as conformity assessment and sanitary and veterinary control will temporarily not apply. This will allow buyers to save time and money.
The introduction of this procedure will take the e-commerce infrastructure to a new level. The turnover of goods will accelerate significantly, making online purchases even cheaper and more convenient.
From now on, the process of ordering foreign products via the internet will become safer and more transparent. Dear customers, there is no doubt that this news will have a positive impact on the prices of online purchases.
The creation of such conveniences will strengthen competition between international and local e-commerce platforms, which will ultimately benefit the consumer. Which platforms will you trust more when making online purchases after these changes?
