A noticeable revival occurred in Uzbekistan’s car market in March 2026. Zamin.uz reported this.

During the month, more than 78 thousand vehicles were sold. This figure is 19 percent higher than the previous month and 20.6 percent higher than the same month last year.

The data was released by the Center for Economic Research and Reform. Vehicle trade intensified in almost all regions across the republic.

In Jizzakh, Andijan and Samarkand regions the situation slowed slightly. The highest growth was in Surkhandarya — 51.4 percent.

Tashkent region saw a 46 percent rise, Sirdaryo and Navoi recorded increases of 34.5 and 27.5 percent respectively. In the capital, a 60.5 percent jump was noted in one month.

Almost 31 thousand transactions were completed in the primary market for new passenger cars. This is up 13 percent on the previous month and 37 percent compared with March last year.

Cars assembled at local plants sold about 25 thousand units, rising 3.8 percent monthly and 26.5 percent annually. The segment of foreign new cars grew even faster.

5.7 thousand vehicles were sold in one month, nearly double the previous month. Annual figures also show growth of more than twofold.

The used-car market also achieved visible gains. In March, 47.5 thousand cars changed hands, up 23 percent month-on-month and 12 percent year-on-year.

Electric-car sales continue steady growth. Last month, almost 5.5 thousand electric vehicles were sold, 24 percent more than in March 2025.

Eight regions posted increases, while four provinces saw declines. The highest surge was in Khorezm — fivefold.

Navoi recorded a 3.6-fold rise, Jizzakh 2.9-fold, and Fergana 2.2-fold.
