The number of mobile devices in households in Uzbekistan has tripled

Digital technologies are developing rapidly and have already become an integral part of our lives. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Today, we witness that not only adults but also young children have at least one communication device. New data provided by the Statistics Agency shows a staggering increase in the number of mobile devices in our country.
These indicators signify the high interest and need of the population for information technologies. Looking at the figures, we can see that the number of mobile devices in Uzbek households has increased nearly threefold over the last fifteen years.
The population's demand for communication tools is rising steadily every year. For instance, while in 2010 there were an average of 145 phones per hundred households, by 2015 this figure reached 234.
Five years later, in 2020, the number of devices per hundred families reached 287. According to this year's reports, this number has risen to a record level of 359.
This data means that there are now an average of three or four mobile phones in every household in our country. Such growth indicates how much the population's access to digital services has expanded.
The high demand for mobile devices is also reflected in import volumes. During the first two months of this year, nearly one million phones were imported to Uzbekistan from more than ten countries.
This confirms that supply and purchasing power in the domestic market remain high. Such a significant increase in the number of mobile communication tools is not just a statistic, but a result of digital reforms in our country.
Nowadays, the phone has become a primary tool not only for communication but also for obtaining quality education, conducting business activities, and using various government services remotely. The development of technology makes people's lives easier and helps save time.
So, how many communication devices are there for each member of your family? Which features do you pay the most attention to when choosing a device?
