Preferential Mortgage Program for Young Families to be Introduced in Uzbekistan

Starting from 2027, a new and large-scale mortgage program aimed at providing housing for young families will be launched in Uzbekistan, as reported by Zamin.uz. This initiative is designed to strengthen the social protection of the younger generation and improve their living conditions.
According to the new regulations, loans for purchasing housing are expected to be set at the Central Bank's main rate, which currently stands at around 14%. If the interest rates offered by commercial banks exceed this figure, the difference will be covered by state budget funds.
This benefit will serve to significantly reduce the financial burden on young families. Under the program's terms, preferential mortgage loans will only apply to the primary market, specifically newly built homes.
This measure, while stimulating the construction sector, ensures that citizens live in apartments with modern amenities. Specific requirements have been established to utilize the mortgage program.
In particular, both spouses must be under the age of 30, and they must not have owned any personal housing for the past three years. These requirements allow for the identification and targeted support of young families truly in need of assistance.
At the same time, the adopted decision includes important clauses aimed at increasing the country's educational potential. Specifically, a system for professional development and internships for qualified teachers in foreign countries will be established.
Additionally, a procedure for providing interest-free loans to establish modern educational centers and support business entities will be introduced. These innovations will serve not only to resolve the housing issue for young people but also to elevate the country's education and economic sectors to a new level.
Such state attention will be an important foundation for ensuring the social stability of society in the future.
