President Discusses Development of Military Cooperation Between Uzbekistan and Türkiye

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held an important meeting dedicated to strengthening the country's defense capabilities and developing international military cooperation. During the dialogue, Minister of Defense Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov provided the head of state with detailed information on the ongoing work to elevate military ties with Türkiye to a new level.
The participation of representatives from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Türkiye in the meeting demonstrates the practical significance of the relations between the two countries. The negotiations focused on the consistent implementation of agreements reached during high-level meetings.
The parties paid special attention to further strengthening mutual trust between defense departments and deepening strategic partnership ties. It is worth noting that in recent years, cooperation in military and technical fields has been qualitatively renewed.
Today, conducting joint training exercises involving the military personnel of both nations, exchanging experience between industry specialists, and organizing mutual visits have become a tradition. The meeting also reviewed issues regarding the training and professional development of military personnel.
High-potential specialists play an invaluable role in countering modern threats and risks. Consequently, expanding cooperation in military education between the two countries was identified as a priority task.
The head of state gave specific instructions on further improving the defense system and strengthening effective ties with international partners in this regard. Military cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye is significant not only for bilateral interests but also for ensuring regional security.
