President Visits New Gastronomic Tourist Destination in Tashkent

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the newly established gastronomic tourist destination on Uzbekistan Ovozi Street in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. According to Zamin.uz, this project serves as a prime example of the state policy aimed at developing domestic tourism and expanding the service sector.
The entertainment zone, stretching over two kilometers, was fully commissioned in September 2025. The architectural design of the area aligns with modern urban planning standards, offering all necessary amenities for residents and visitors.
The project includes wide pedestrian and bicycle paths, cozy recreation areas, sports and children's playgrounds, and a rope park. Following the initiative with a total value of 40 billion soums, 165 retail and service outlets have commenced operations along the street.
Notably, more than half of these establishments operate 24/7, contributing to the creation of over two thousand new jobs. The Head of State was presented with future plans to increase the number of tourist and gastronomic streets in other districts of the capital.
It was reported that several more streets in Tashkent are scheduled to be transformed into 24-hour recreation zones this year. This will involve significant investment, the establishment of hundreds of new businesses, and the employment of thousands of citizens.
The President provided specific instructions to officials to raise service quality to international standards and accelerate the implementation of new projects.
