Sectors with the highest employment of the population have been announced in Uzbekistan
What does Uzbekistan's labour market look like today, and in which sectors do our compatriots mainly work? This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The updated data published by the Statistics Agency revealed which sectors of the country's economy provide the most jobs. These indicators define the main directions of economic growth and employment of the population in our country.

In terms of employment in our country, agriculture, forestry and fisheries continue to maintain absolute leadership. Currently, more than 3 million 132 thousand of our compatriots work in this agrarian sector.

The services sector is in second place, with 2 million 661 thousand people employed in various service areas. The manufacturing industry, with 1 million 699 thousand workers, completes the strong top three.

Trade, construction and education, considered the cornerstones of the economy, also employ millions of citizens. In particular, more than 1 million 500 thousand people are engaged in trade and repair, 1 million 450 thousand in construction, and 1 million 367 thousand in education.

The number of medical and social workers serving public health has exceeded 719 thousand. While 637 thousand people are employed in the system of public administration and defence, more than 584 thousand are engaged in the transport and warehouse economy.

In addition, 389 thousand people work in catering and hotel services, and 152 thousand in science and technical activities. It became known that 114 thousand employees are engaged in management and support services.

While employment indicators in information technology and financial services are relatively lower, these sectors are considered to have the highest efficiency. According to the data, 108 thousand people are employed in communications and information technology, 82 thousand in finance and insurance, and 70 thousand in the energy system.

The final part of the list includes the real estate market, arts, mining industry and water supply sectors. These figures show that agriculture and services remain the main drivers in the structure of our country's economy.

At the same time, the development of modern technologies and financial sectors is expected to contribute to changes in the structure of the labour market in the future. In your opinion, which sector will need the most workforce in the future, and in which sector would you yourself prefer to work?
