The Senate approves strengthening the monitoring of conditionally released prisoners

The procedure for canceling a decision on parole has also been clarified. Now, such issues are considered by the district or city criminal court in the area where the convicted person is serving their sentence.

Moreover, the new law improves the living conditions of persons held in correctional institutions. Now, they have the right to spend at least two hours outdoors in the fresh air on rest days and holidays.
In addition, opportunities are being created for detainees to obtain additional clothing, footwear, and shoes. Another important change is that the amount of funds allocated for prisoners to purchase food and essential items has been increased.
Now, this amount is brought up to the equivalent of the minimum wage for labor. In summary, the adopted law not only systematizes supervision over persons released on parole but also aims to improve human rights and living conditions in correctional institutions.
