Uzbekistan’s unique natural beauty, vibrant life, and rapidly developing economy are attracting not only tourists but also foreigners who wish to settle here permanently. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the latest data released by the Statistics Agency, during the first three months of 2024, a total of 721 foreign citizens arrived in our country with the aim of obtaining permanent residence. This figure indicates that the country’s appeal on the international stage is growing.

Looking at the geography of those choosing Uzbekistan as their new home, it is evident that the majority come from neighboring countries and traditional partners. According to the analysis, migrants from the Russian Federation accounted for 34.1% of the total, leading the list.

Additionally, 19.7% came from neighboring Kazakhstan, 12.2% from Tajikistan, 4.9% from Kyrgyzstan, and 3.7% from Turkmenistan. The remaining 25.4% consisted of citizens from various other countries around the world.

An individual analysis was also conducted to determine which regions of Uzbekistan are most convenient and attractive for foreign nationals seeking to settle. Naturally, the capital city, with its modern infrastructure and broad opportunities, remains the top choice.

Tashkent City alone accounted for more than half of the total figure, with exactly 454 foreign nationals choosing to settle there. Tashkent Region attracted 126 people due to its natural beauty and industrial potential, while 56 citizens chose the Republic of Karakalpakstan for permanent residence.

New settlers have also been registered in other regions of the country. Notably, 14 people chose the historic city of Samarkand, while 11 each selected the Fergana and Khorezm regions to begin a new life.

Furthermore, 10 people registered in Sirdaryo, 9 in Navoi, and 8 in Bukhara. Several foreign nationals also relocated to Andijan, Jizzakh, Namangan, and Surkhandarya regions.

The lowest figure was recorded in Kashkadarya Region, where only one foreign citizen chose to settle. These positive indicators confirm that Uzbekistan’s influence on the international stage is increasing and that the country is becoming a safe haven offering peace and comfort for foreigners.

The conditions being created by our state, combined with the hospitality inherent to our people, are enabling foreigners to remain in our country and become part of our society.
