Rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas of Uzbekistan.

The Uzbekistan Hydrometeorological Service Agency announced the expected weather conditions for Thursday, May 20, as reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the synoptic forecast, unstable weather conditions are expected in several regions of the country, with rain, cloudiness, and strengthening winds anticipated. In some areas, dust storms may occur due to increasing wind speeds.
In Tashkent, the weather will be changeable, with possible brief rain and cloudiness in the second half of the day. Winds from the east will reach 3–8 meters per second, but may temporarily increase up to 12 meters per second.
Nighttime temperatures will range from 17–19°C, while daytime temperatures will be around 30–32°C. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm Region, brief rainfall is also expected in some areas.
Wind speeds may reach 13–18 meters per second in certain locations, potentially triggering dust storms. In these regions, daytime temperatures could rise to 29–34°C.
In Bukhara and Navoi Regions, the weather will be changeable, with forecasts predicting brief rain and thunderstorms. Rainfall is also likely in Tashkent, Sirdaryo, Jizzakh, and Samarkand Regions.
Winds may strengthen in some areas, with daytime temperatures ranging between 27–32°C. In Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya Regions, relatively hot weather will persist.
In some areas, temperatures may reach up to 38°C, although brief rain and strong winds will provide some relief. Brief rainfall is also expected in the Fergana Valley regions.
Conditions in mountainous and foothill areas may be more complicated. Specialists warn that heavy rainfall at times could lead to floods and mudflows.
Therefore, residents are urged to take precautionary measures. As of May 22, a flood risk has been declared in nine regions of the country, and all safety measures have been intensified.
