Citizens who washed carpets in drinking water may be fined heavily

As temperatures rise in Uzbekistan, the tradition of washing carpets in yards and street areas reaches its peak. Zamin.uz reports on this.
However, this year, the process is causing heated discussions on social networks. According to circulating reports, it is said that strict measures are being taken and large fines are being imposed on citizens in some areas who use drinking water for domestic purposes, specifically for washing carpets.
In particular, information is widely spreading among internet users that the fine for wasting water can reach nearly 3.7 million soums. Additionally, warnings are being issued that administrative penalties ranging from one to three times the basic calculating amount may be applied when cases of improper use of water resources are identified.
Such reports have raised various questions and concerns among many of our compatriots. While industry experts and relevant organizations are clarifying the issue, they emphasize that each case is studied individually.
It is noted that the amount of the fine and the measures taken are determined based on the degree of violation of the water use rules. At the same time, it should be remembered that not all reports spreading on social networks have an official basis.
Nevertheless, experts urge the population to use drinking water, considered a priceless blessing, rationally and economically. Water waste is not only a material loss but also an ecological problem.
Therefore, it is recommended to wash carpets at specialized enterprises or water-recycling outlets. This not only prevents unnecessary expenses but also serves to protect the environment.
Citizens are asked to comply with current rules and be responsible toward water resources. Relying on official information helps prevent any misunderstandings.
