A new law has been adopted in Uzbekistan to ensure ecological sustainability and create a healthy environment for future generations. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the official website of the Parliament, parliament.uz, the law on "Limiting Greenhouse Gas Emissions" establishes strict regulations aimed at reducing the amount of harmful substances in the atmosphere. According to the law, the state will maintain records for effective monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions, set specific target indicators, and finance and support activities in this area.
Additionally, legal entities and individuals, as well as individual entrepreneurs, will have the right to implement "green" projects. Under the new regulations, the reduced greenhouse gases resulting from "green" projects implemented in Uzbekistan will be fully transferred to state ownership, and this information will be recorded in a special carbon units registry.
Furthermore, the carbon units in the reports prepared for each project must undergo special verification. Ecologists and experts evaluate this law as an important step in fulfilling Uzbekistan's international obligations.
The "green" projects being implemented in the country are expected to become effective tools in the fight against global climate change in the future. Zamin.uz will continue to provide its readers with timely and impartial information on the latest developments in environmental legislation, "green" technologies, and state programs aimed at nature conservation.
