Ashraf Hakimi, the right-back of Paris Saint-Germain, responded to a question about leaving Madrid's Real team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
On Wednesday, the Moroccan footballer helped the Paris team defeat Real 4-0 in the semifinals of the World Club Championship. After the match, journalists asked Hakimi why he did not stay at Real, which was considered his homeland at the time.
According to Hakimi, the decision to leave Real was not made by him. He did not plan to leave, but the club decided to let him go.
The 26-year-old footballer said in an interview with DAZN that although Ashraf Hakimi graduated from the "royal" club's academy, he only played 17 times for the first team.
In 2018, he was loaned to Borussia Dortmund, and in 2020, he was sold to Inter Milan for 43 million euros.
