A new regulation has been approved in the Republic of Uzbekistan to make the military service call-up and selection system more transparent and effective. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, new rules have been introduced for the selection of conscripts and their preparation for military service. This document aims to improve the process of selecting young people for military service and to enhance the level of preparedness.
From now on, special interviews will be held in the places of residence of the conscripts with the participation of their parents and local community activists. Through these interviews, the psychological, spiritual, and social state of the candidates will be thoroughly examined.
According to the new procedure, the selection process for citizens called up for military-technical training and compulsory military service will involve the Ministry of Defense, its regional divisions, local government bodies, and representatives of the public. A selection commission will be established during the selection process.
The commission will consist of specialists from various fields, including representatives from the defense sector, community activists, and local leaders. The commission will assess the physical condition of the candidates based on criteria such as strength, endurance, and agility.
These tests will accurately indicate the level of readiness of young people for military service. Based on the results of the selection, the commission will make a decision and provide relevant recommendations.
On this basis, a list of those accepted for training in military-technical specialties will be formed. The defense authorities will, in turn, issue the relevant decisions and pay special attention to ensuring transparency in the process.
The Leadership Council of the defense departments in Karakalpakstan, all regions, and the capital will make the final decision on the call-up for compulsory service. Notably, conscripts can participate in this selection only once a year.
This increases responsibility for each candidate and encourages a serious approach to preparation. If the results are unsatisfactory, waiting until the following year is required.
The new regulation demonstrates the state's attention to the future of youth and its responsible approach to the military sector. This procedure serves to strengthen the principles of justice and equality among young people, ensuring that only deserving citizens are selected for military service.
In the near future, the effectiveness and practical results of the new regulations will become evident. Thus, openness, fairness, and modern criteria will be ensured in the military call-up process.
