President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the projects being implemented in the industrial area of the Chilonzor district of our capital. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This area is located in the territories of the Beshqorgon and Tirsakobod neighborhoods and covers a total area of 320 hectares. This complex, designated as a small industrial zone, was established based on the President's decree dated July 3, 2023.
According to the decree, transport, engineering-communication, and road infrastructure have been improved, creating favorable conditions for the development of industry and entrepreneurship. Production capacities that meet international standards, are energy-efficient, and environmentally safe have been established in the area.
Currently, the number of such enterprises has reached 531, and the number of jobs created is approaching 20,000. The annual production volume amounts to 6 trillion 800 billion soums.
This year, it is planned to export products worth 180 million dollars by 50 enterprises in the area. Such indicators have not been achieved in the Chilonzor district before.
The head of state visited the "Tarleplast" enterprise and inspected the production process. The total value of this enterprise is 25 million dollars.
12 types of modern equipment from leading European companies have been brought in and installed at the enterprise. As a result, the capacity to produce 90,000 tons of iron pipes and steel profiles per year has been created.
The value of these products is approximately equal to 900 billion soums. About 120 employees are permanently employed at the enterprise.
Importantly, the type of pipes that are resistant to high pressure and external influences is considered competitive in terms of price and size. Last year, products worth 4 million dollars were exported to countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Now, there are plans to further expand the sales geography. The head of our state observed an exhibition of products produced in the industrial area and listened to the presentation of upcoming industrial projects.
In particular, the establishment of a multi-storey production building and a mono-center is envisaged. Once these projects are implemented, more than 100 new projects will be launched in the area, creating an additional 3,000 jobs.
Projects covering construction, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, printing, automotive, sewing-knitting, and confectionery industries are planned. The President, while conversing with entrepreneurs, provided specific instructions on expanding the production of value-added products, increasing job opportunities, and developing the service sector.
