A two-year-old child died due to cruel treatment at a private preschool institution in Tashkent city. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It was found that the caregiver Laylo Alimova and the methodologist Vazira Giyazova committed violence against the child at the "Jajji nihollar" kindergarten. According to court documents, from December 9 to 11, 2024, the child was constantly under physical and psychological pressure.
Giyazova hit the child on the head, pulled him by his clothes, and threw him onto the bed. Laylo Alimova threw the child to the ground, stuffed a cloth into his mouth, strangled him by the neck, and kicked him in the back.
She admitted her guilt in court and expressed regret. On December 11, when the child was crying without sleeping, Alimova kicked him and threw him onto the bed after he hit the wall.
Giyazova entered the room, continued the violence, and threatened the child. She hit the child's face, covered his mouth, and strangled him with her hand.
These actions caused serious harm to the child's health. Other staff members were called to the scene, and an ambulance arrived, but the child died in the hospital.
During the trial, Laylo Alimova was sentenced to 6.5 years of imprisonment under paragraph "d" of part 3 of Article 104 of the Criminal Code. Vazira Giyazova was sentenced to 3 years of restricted freedom under paragraphs "a" and "v" of part 2 of Article 110.
This incident has caused deep sorrow and discontent among parents and society. To prevent such incidents from happening again, it is necessary to strengthen the monitoring system in both private and state kindergartens.
There is a need to review the video surveillance systems, pedagogical tests, and the licensing system for working with children. Every parent wants to ensure their child's safety, and this trust must be fulfilled through the educational institutions of society.
Children must be raised with love and attention. The short life of Zubayr Anvarjonov is a responsibility and a warning for all of us.
Society must work together to prevent such incidents.
