
In the first half of 2025, over 34 trillion soums were transferred to the state budget through customs. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This indicator is of significant importance for the economy and demonstrates the effectiveness of the customs authorities' operations. During this period, more than 19,000 cases of smuggling and customs violations were identified, and the illegal transportation of goods and material wealth worth a total of 564 billion soums across the border, as well as hidden circulation in the domestic market, was prevented.
The amount of currency in circulation in violation of the law increased threefold compared to the same period last year. The number of illegally imported jewelry items nearly doubled.
Additionally, a total of 1247 kilograms of narcotic substances and 156 kilograms of psychotropic and potent substances were prevented from entering the country under customs control. Officials emphasized that measures to restrict illegal circulation and ensure security will be further strengthened.
