
Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met yesterday in Kabul with Acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan Mullah Muhammad Hasan Akhund. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During this meeting, issues related to further strengthening and developing relations between the two countries were discussed. Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with the Acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan on his official Telegram channel and emphasized the intention to deepen mutual cooperation as two friendly neighboring countries.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to developing trade, humanitarian cooperation, and regional integration. In particular, agreements on a railway project between Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan were discussed.
Additionally, the Uzbek government expressed its readiness to strengthen cooperation in infrastructure, logistics, energy, and education. According to Bakhtiyor Saidov, Afghanistan should serve as an important bridge between Central and South Asia.
This will contribute to stability and economic development in the region. The meeting was significant for elevating bilateral relations to a new level.
